iSalute you, Steve Jobs.

Today is a historic day. In more than one way.

Thank you Steve, for bringing us a truly Graphical User Interface and many innovations that were made just for ‘mere-mortals’. You single-handedly envisioned and revolutionised tech, music, motion-picture, and telecom industries.

Silently you also taught me that the ‘vision’ thing really does work, and it didn’t really matter what anybody thought, as long as you had faith in your own ability to make things happen. Through your relentless persuit, you inspired thousands at Apple, and millions more outside, be they followers, nerds, techies, ‘fanboys’, and competition, all alike. You showed people and them so-called-industry-giants that technology can truly touch lives, and churn out a few billion dollars while doing so.

Your approach taught me a lot more than just to sell great computing devices. It taught me to connect with simple human expectations in a technology-driven world, while keeping that ‘passion’ thing going, even when everything seemed to fall apart.

There are millions like me whose live you’ve touched, and will have a lifelong impact on. But, there is only one Steve Jobs.

iSalute you.
